CONCRETE ARCANUM proof has arrived!

The print proof for Concrete Arcanum has arrived! I've got some reviewing to do and tweaks to make, but overall it's looking great! I'll be giving the final go ahead to the printer by the end of the week, thus putting fullfilment ahead of schedule!! That's exciting in and of itself! But what's even more exciting is that I just today launched a campaign for Concrete Arcanum on Indiegogo!

Now I know most of y'all have probably already secured yourself a copy of Concrete Arcanum, but this is the perfect opportunity for anyone who missed out on the Kickstarter. If you could do me one teeny tiny little favor and give it a mention on the social medias or, better yet, to any friends you might have who are big into The Dresden Files, Supernatural, or Carnival Row, that would really help this true awesome anthology collection reach an even bigger audience.

Happy Solstice Concrete Arcanum backers!

I’m very pleased to inform you that the order for a one thousand copy print run has been placed with the printers, and they inform me that they expect to ship it out in February! Now I have no idea what the state of the shipping industry and supply chains are right now, but that does seem like a pretty healthy margin of time to make our total fulfillment goal of June. So now it’s time to kick back, pour out a warm mug of something spicy, and enjoy the holiday season.

But first, do you know what else I like besides comics? Jeans. I’m a jeans guy. Wearing a pair right now, in fact. So I was intrigued when a backer recommended I check out this Kickstarter campaign by Fabee Design:

The creator, Faraz, is looking to set up an ethical handmade denim workshop in Birmingham in the UK, once the heartland of the British textile industry in the days before offshore manufacturing was the norm. If, like me, you enjoy the stylish yet utilitarian aesthetic of denim, you should totallly CLICK HERE,  check them out, and support a guy who’s trying to start up a business and do it right.

 Backerkit surveys are out! And so far, 78% of Concrete Arcanum backers have filled out their surveys! Considering last week was the Thanksgiving holiday here in The States, that’s pretty good. And since it is the holidays and I realize that everyone has a bajillion things to do between now and the end of the year, I’m extending the deadline to get those finished. Don’t delay though. I want to place the order with my printer next week. Which means that, if you backed at a level that includes your name on the backer page, the final deadline to complete your Backerkit survey is the END OF THE DAY, FRIDAY. If you finish your survey after that, you will still get all your other rewards, but your name will not be on the backer page.There’s still about 66 people who need to fill out their surveys. If that’s you, check your inbox, check your spam folder, or log in to Backerkit.com to get ’er done!Hope you had a great Thanksgivingweekend and gore out!

It's true! Your Concrete Arcanum Backerkit Surveys are in your inbox!

 This is a very important step in the process. I need the information I get from the surveys for things like putting your name on the backer page and knowing how many of  what items I need to order. The sooner you get it done, the sooner I can get you your rewards!

SO I'm going to offer a little incentive. If you get your backer kit survey completed before Thanksgiving Day (that's this coming Thursday for the international folks out there) You can use the code SURVEY5 to get $5 worth of credit in the pre-order store!

The code is going to expire on Thursday 11/24/22, so get you surveys done by then!

CONCRETE ARCANUM HAS FUNDED!!!

Ladies, gentlemen, and peoples non-conforming, I am pleased to announce that Concrete Arcanum has officially funded. A most sincere thank you to everyone who backed, all of the contributing creators, and everyone who shared, posted, or otherwise shouted out the campaign. It was an absolute nail-biter and, I'm not going to lie, I was pretty nervous. But we pulled it out in the last 24 hours.

You guys rock!!

So what next?

The Kickstarter gnomes are already hard at work collecting pledges. 93% have already been collected successfully, but there are still a few backers whose pledges are "ERRORED" This usually happens because of an expired credit card. Pretty easily fixable, but it holds up the process. So if you could please take a second to your Kickstarter account at https://www.kickstarter.com/login and make sure everything's in order, that would be swell. It helps keep the ball rolling towards fulfillment, and it's especially important if you want to make sure your name is on the backer page.

Secondly, the Milestone Bonus Bundles will be going out later this week via Kickstarter's messaging system, so keep an eye on that space for your well deserved bonus comics!
